SUMMARY:ESSMI excursion 2026 to Switzerland and South-West Germany
DESCRIPTION:In June again the ESSMI goes an tour. We will visit substrate producers and mushroom growers in Switzerland and South-West Germany. Come along with us\, meet other members and see different kinds and strategies of mushroom business in central Europe. \nWe start the 14th of June in the evening with a come together in a Hotel in Zurich. At 15th in the morning we start a guided tour through the city center of Zurich in the afternoon we visit the urban farm Zuripilze. \nThe 16th we are leaving to the central Szwizzerland and visit Kernser Edelpilze and Gotthardt Bio Pilze. For night we stay in Sempach. \nThe 17th we visit Fine Funghi before we go further to the region Bodensee to visit Kulturpilze Helchenhof. \nThe 18th we drive to Breisach and visit Pilzhof Rein and in the afternoon a vineyard in one of the most beautiful wine regions of Germany Kaiserstuhl. Of cause we will test if the make good wines too. \nThe 19th we leave to Daniel Wüstner and end up visiting Kubach Speisepilze. \n

DESCRIPTION:ESSMI will co-organise WoodFungi in 2027\nLooking back\, we can conclude that the first edition of the WoodFungi Conference was a success. Nevertheless\, progress does not stand still: research continues to advance\, new themes are being studied\, and valuable insights into fungal cultivation are emerging. Within the sector\, there has been a clear call for a follow-up\, and the timing is now appropriate to meet this demand.
